Introducing RentYourCompute: democratizing data centers

The cloud changed how software gets built — but it also concentrated an enormous amount of capacity, and pricing power, in a handful of providers. If you're a small team, a researcher, or building in an emerging market, you often pay the most for the same commodity cycles.

Meanwhile, capable hardware sits idle almost everywhere: the old desktop in a closet, a spare mini-PC, phones in a drawer, and rows of machines gathering dust at local computer shops. That's latent infrastructure — depreciating instead of earning.

A two-sided marketplace

RentYourCompute turns that idle hardware into a marketplace with two sides:

• Providers install a lightweight agent and earn from capacity that would otherwise sit unused — on their own terms, with bandwidth caps, schedules, and charging-only limits.
• Buyers get cheap, on-demand compute and residential proxies at a fraction of hyperscaler prices, choosing providers by a transparent reputation score.

Your traffic never flows through us. Devices join an encrypted overlay network, and capacity is brokered device-to-device — the control plane only ever sets desired state. That keeps the network cheap to scale and your data off our servers.

Honest about reliability

We are not promising AWS-grade uptime. Best-effort capacity is interruptible by design — that's what makes it cheap. Our promise is affordability and access, with transparent pricing and a reputation system you can actually inspect. For workloads that can't tolerate interruption, traditional cloud remains your fallback, and our higher tiers exist for when you need a stronger commitment.

Every home, office, and computer shop is a latent micro–data center. Aggregated well, that distributed supply becomes a new, fairer layer of cloud.
